A brief history of AIΦORA
Our brand was born in 2024 during Onassis ONX (ONassis eXtended realities) and ACE (Athens Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation) Summer School 2024 that took place in Athens. The team was set up covering CLIMA ANXIETY and FUTURING FASHION challenges.
We envisioned a new fashion business that will offer custom made design with the use of AI tools, focused on area-specified environmental dangers. For their production we cooperate with local producers and recycling companies. We also invite fashion industry players to participate in thematic fashion shows and awareness raising events. Donation of part of our profits will be made to environmental protection initiatives and activities. In order to enhance our revenues and secure raw materials we will soon start stockpiling old clothes donated by our customers as recycling raw material and offer them in return some discount on new recycled fashion product.
The team brought together four environmentally sensitive women from different backgrounds.
Lida Zacharopoulou is a Data analytics engineer, creative coder and interdisciplinary artist focusing on critical AI and interactive media. She is working with creative coding, software engineering, data science, machine learning, digital art , ethical AI, storytelling, 3D modeling, new media art. Ioanna Kalogeridou is a Freshman at the Department of Business Administration in Athens University of Economics and Business. Katerina Stylianea is a Journalist - international affairs senior editor and an Architect. After a long and diverse professional experience she remains into continuous education that she regards a way of life (and living). Valentina Farantouri is an Architect and Digital artist interested in speculative design, assemblage theory, machines of desire, forming design parameters of multiplicity worlds.
